The students should submit proof of admission to an educational institution recognized by the Government of India. </p> <p align="left" class="blueTextBold">Journalist Visa </p> <p align="left">Journalists and media personnel traveling to India for work-related purposes need special clearance. If visa is issued in Singapore, transfer of visa, from old passport to new passport is issued against payment of S$10/- on next working day. If visa is issued by Indian Mission abroad, processing time is 5 working days and fee charged is S$20 for fax and S$10 for transfer. In case of US national, fee charged is S$ 20 for fax plus S$ 50 for transfer in total S$70. </p> <p align="left" class="blueTextBold">General Information </p> <ol> <li> The duration of stay in India, for each visit on a tourist visa or business visa is only for period of six months.
